Promoting Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) through Climate Field Schools and a knowledge production program is a component of the “Green Resilient Agricultural Productive Ecosystem (GRAPE) Project” funded by the European Union (EU) to enhance food and nutrition security, promote resilient agriculture, and improve the resilience of communities as well as to improve the livelihood of farmers in the Karnali and Sudurpaschim Province of Nepal. This program is being implemented by Rupantaran and FCA together in targeted areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali Province. Rupantaran is the national implementing partner of the GRAPE Project for the Climate Field School component along with FCA. Among the 4 Fields of Action of the GRAPE project, Field of Action 3 is focused on the implementation of the technologies and knowledge to the vulnerable groups and communities.
Rupantaran works under Field of Action 3 and implements the CFS program. The target area of the CFS program is 7 municipalities of 3 districts, i.e., Surkhet and Dailekh from Karnali Province and Bajura from Sudurpaschim Province of Nepal. The municipalities comprise 2 palikas from Surkhet district, i.e., Barahatal Rural Municipality & Bheriganga Municipality, 2 palikas from Dailekh district, i.e., Bhagwatimai Rural Municipality & Naumule Rural Municipality, and 3 palikas from Bajura, i.e., Budinanda Municipality, Himali Rural Municipality & Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality.
